Urenco is an international supplier of enrichment services and fuel cycle products for the civil nuclear industry, serving utility customers worldwide who provide low carbon electricity through nuclear generation. Urenco is seeking someone to fill this role within its R&D team to be based in Urenco’s Almelo or Gronau site locations.

The main areas of responsibility will include:

  • Act as focal point for SMEs on site - a skilled expert in the Group for the product line. Leverage a detailed understanding of the operation in the specialist area to identify improvement opportunities. Act as the Urenco expert for this product line's technology and provide advice to the Head of R&D and the wider Urenco organisation

  • Screen new external technological developments for their relevance and potential application for the respective product line, providing guidance and support to team members on new and existing product lines.

  • Support the product line Lead in running the associated technology and processes, building the requisite capabilities and knowledge.

  • Support the R&D budget process, providing inputs for respective projects

  • Document and hand-over results of R&D projects to customer or other stakeholders. Feed into wider R&D reporting. Manage all project stakeholders and support wider stakeholder management for the product line

 We are now looking for an individual who can make a difference and add value to the existing Team, the following skills and experience will provide an indication of the types of Team Players we are looking for:

  • For this role you will need to be at least a Masters or equivalent degree qualified in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Physics

  • Have a solid understanding of regulated process industry standards, and processes (inc safety and plant processing technology)

  • Ideally have a Nuclear or Heavy/process/chemical industry background

  • Can demonstrate capability and understanding of structuring, budgeting, executing and reporting R&D and qualification programs

  • Established knowledge and utilisation of project management skills, tools and processes to ensure smooth project running’s

  • An analytical, organised and motivated self-starter whom is looking for a new challenge and to become an knowledge expert

  • Dedicated to own (and others) personal and professional development and champion information exchange at all levels across the organisation.

 Type: Full Time, permanent position

Location: Can be based at Almelo or Gronau sites.
