Urenco is an international supplier of enrichment services and fuel cycle products for the civil nuclear industry, serving utility customers worldwide who provide low carbon electricity through nuclear generation. As a result of investment activity, Urenco are seeking people to enhance our in-house project delivery capability based in our Group Projects team based in our sites in Gronau (Germany), Almelo (Netherlands), Capenhurst (UK), and Eunice (NM, USA). Group Projects is responsible for driving excellence in portfolio management, project management, project engineering management, estimating, project controls, procurement and contract management, and construction management. As a part of Group Projects you will join a pool of experts providing subject matter consulting, advice and direct delivery of strategically significant Urenco projects.
Urenco Group Projects is entering into a period of significant and exciting change. The role will own and shape the selection of projects and analysis of long term capital investment for Urenco Group’s global portfolio of small and medium projects accumulating up to €100 million annual CAPEX and select projects ranging from €50 million to in excess of €500 million.
Reporting to the Manager of Project Portfolio Management, you will provide key analytical and some administrative support focused around investment planning, reporting and assurance activities. A significant portion of the role relates to analysis for presentation to senior management and executives for the organisation, therefore requires clear and concise articulation of key information, the main areas of responsibility will include:
•Consolidation and maintenance of the Group Investment Plan
•Maintenance of a consolidated view of actual and planned investment expenditure together with accompanying commentary and variance analysis
•Critically review input information to investment plans, including cash-flow models/business cases to ensure quality of information
•Development and maintenance of portfolio reporting for presentation to Group executive bodies ensuring consistency and accuracy in project reporting
•Reporting analytics for executive consumption, and creation of trending analysis in preparation for reviews
•Assurance action tracker analysis to develop thematic focus on future assurance activities
•Secretary to the Projects Control Board, including meeting administration and shared filing system
We are now looking for an individual who can make a difference and add value to our existing Team, the following skills and experience will provide an indication of the types of Team Players we are looking for:
•Experience in a previous analytical post, preferably in a multi-discipline, multicultural environment
•A degree or equivalent in a technical or numerical subject
•Experience of portfolio analysis and performance reporting (CAPEX)
•Background/experience in statistical analysis and development and consolidation of excel models from multiple sources
•Analytical bias with attention to detail specifically concerning data collation, analysis and excellent presentation skills
•Financial (economic) modelling techniques and practice
•Demonstrated Excel modelling and ideally, VBA experience and knowledge of how to verify data and check for accuracy
