​Urenco is an international supplier of enrichment services and fuel cycle products for the civil nuclear industry, serving utility customers worldwide and providing low carbon electricity through nuclear generation.

As part of the organizational change of Urenco Technology & Development this role offers a great opportunity to grow with the business.

The main areas of responsibility will include:
x Under the supervision of the Senior R&D Manager Chemistry, execute analytical tasks for experimental programmes on time, efficiently, safely and to high quality. Support the Lab Managers in developing implementation plans for the experimental programme
x Document test results and support the Lab Managers and Safety Case Engineer in preparing the documents necessary in support of the experimental programme
x Execute all activities in the labs safely and in line with applicable regulations, policies, procedures and standards, working closely with the Lab Managers, Safety Case Engineer and local stakeholders. Support lab maintenance activities as required
x Support the Lab Managers on the implementation of required equipment. Modify the lab infrastructure to meet the requirements of new R&D projects. x Support work to identify the best equipment and set-up for specific experiments. Provide input to the Lab Managers on lab development opportunities, to ensure they remain state-of-the-art and that they are fit for today's and anticipated future demands
x Collate know-how for test equipment and know-how gathered during testing and act as a consultant to others seeking this knowledge. Provide input to the Lab Managers on new technological developments of potential relevance to their lab
x Ensure that new external technological developments are assessed for their relevance and potential application in the R&D labs

We are now looking for an individual who can make a difference and add value to our existing Team. The following skills and experience will provide an indication of the types of Team Players we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical or Inorganic Chemistry
• Several years of professional experience, ideally within a test facility, laboratory or manufacturing/process environment
• Experience operating & maintaining analytical equipment
• Experience of conducting experiments independently

This is a permanent, full-time, role to be based in Almelo or Gronau.
